Washington University - University College The home page of the University College features a randomized "hero image" as well as a randomized quote in the right column. Notice the three titles - "FYI", "NEW...NEW...NEW" and "SUMMER 2005". Those titles as well as all the content below them are editable by the administrative user. The articles can be set to link to a full story complete with pictures and links. I've built a system where the user doesn't need to know any HTML to be able to put up links or images fully automated. HOME PAGE Similarly to the home page content, the administrator (a part time teacher at Washington University) can log in to add events to the calendar. The calendar can be browsed going a year into the future or past and features thousands of events. Like the articles on the home page, the events may have a "detail" page where more content including images and links exist. CALENDAR The page below demonstrates another of the dozen or so templates we built to manage all the types of content on each page. This template features broad content in the left column and subnavigation in the right column. The table and all fonts and colors have been established in CSS (Cascading Style Sheets).
